Bertram Wertenberger was in the Army from 1917-1918, in Panama City. He worked with the horses/mules during the time he was in the service. |

Robert F. Cook from Murchison enlisted in the army in Athens on March 15, 1918. He served with Battery C, 71st Artillery in Angers, France and was discharged March 14, 1919. His brother, Clyde Cook, also served during World War 1 |
